Trusted tree care. Licensed. Insured. Professional.
Man of Stihl LLC was built on a simple foundation: professional tree care, done right, by someone who knows what they're doing and takes the work seriously. Based in Monett, Missouri, we've been providing licensed, insured tree services throughout Southwest Missouri for over 15 years. In that time, we've handled everything from routine trimming jobs for residential homeowners to complex storm damage removal and large-scale tree removal in tight, difficult-access situations.
Tree work is skilled, physical labor that involves real risk—to the tree, to the surrounding property, and to the people doing the work. That's why it matters who you hire. Licensing and insurance aren't formalities. They're the difference between a professional operation that protects you and your property and an unlicensed service that leaves you holding the liability if something goes wrong. Man of Stihl LLC carries full licensing and insurance on every job, every time.

1. When should I have a tree removed?
Tree removal becomes necessary when a tree is dead, diseased, structurally compromised, or poses a safety hazard to your home or property. Signs include large dead branches, significant lean, cavities in the trunk, or storm damage. Trees too close to your roof, power lines, or foundation may also need removal for safety reasons. We recommend a free professional evaluation if you're unsure—many trees can be saved with proper trimming, but some must come down for liability and safety.
2. How much does tree removal cost in Southwest Missouri?
Tree removal costs depend on the tree's size, location, accessibility, and whether the trunk is healthy or dead. A small residential tree might cost $300–$800, while larger trees or those in tight spaces can run $1,500–$5,000+. Storm damage removal often costs more due to urgency and complexity. The best way to know your exact cost is a free estimate—we serve a 50-mile radius around Monett and provide no-obligation quotes for all tree removal work.
3. Is tree removal dangerous?
Yes—professional tree removal is genuinely dangerous work. That's why licensing and insurance matter. Untrained removal can result in injuries, property damage, electrocution (near power lines), or crushing injuries. Licensed professionals like Man of Stihl LLC carry full insurance and follow safety protocols to protect your home, your family, and our crew. Never attempt tree removal yourself.
4. Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Missouri?
Permit requirements vary by city and county in Southwest Missouri. Some municipalities require permits for trees over a certain size; others don't. We know local permitting for Monett, Pierce City, Mount Vernon, and all service areas and can advise you during the estimate. We handle permit coordination when required.
